two thoughts
AT NIGHT
headin down the highway
the orange glow of the console reminds me of home
my window's cracked
as i breathe in the world through this sliver of time
i can't help but think of what i'm heading towards
and feeling the ghosts of the past tickle the hairs on my neck
the oil is cracking on my favorite painting in the passenger seat
it gives me a cold hard stare
like it needs sustenance or reassurance
and who am i to deny it of either of those
my hearts been in a book
and i can't feel my face anymore

SHOW YOURSELF SOME LOVE
the anatomy of low self confidence lies within itself
the schematics prove its nothing dissimilar to
the rotting pig intestines of the sickened heart
you're not alone
this purgatorial cup of cold tea shivers a lot of us to the bone
but its not forever. it's not written in stone

it aint too easy to heat ones cup up when one's there
but i believe its possible as my cup is turning room temperature
i'm not going to tell you what will work to grow your own self confidence
as it would be akin to an ass leading a donkey to the well
knowing myself - we'd probably get lost without a compass
but i can suggest a thread that has helped me a bit
follow what you like and show yourself some love

if you've made it this far dearest reader, its time to celebrate! put on your favorite socks and dance around a bit.
thank you for choosing to come here.
the first piece i wrote just now. while i'm thinking of the past and what the future could bring. i remember my younger self being so overtly nervous and scattered about what i wanted to be in the future that i didn't stop too often to notice what was around me. i think i've learned my lesson.
the second piece i wrote for myself but i decided to share with you, because who knows - someone might want to read something like that.
a little bit about the images:
#1: i was on a drive back from detroit to chicago and the moon was out - i couldn't help myself. that image is also compiled with another image i took from the inside of one of those wavy cube windows.
#2: an image of a storage room that lead to the roof of my old studio. the light was just delectable in there so i captured this. i compiled this with another photo i took of dried cement with glue on it on a wall somewhere here in chicago, as well as a peach tonic.
#3: same base image as above - but i couldn't choose which version to share - so i shared them both. this one is compiled with an old image i made of a cool colorful gradient that magnetizes my eyes, as well as the peach tonic. also i added a lil glitch effect and some grain. 😊
#4: the base image is from the mackinac island post cemetery i took on a foggy fall day. i compiled a physical drawing and several digital drawings with it, as well as an ochre tonic.
love,
